Lillie Bryant Howard had her first hit record "La Dee Dah" hit the top ten in 1958 with another - “Lucky Lady Bug”.
As a co-leader of the famed pop group Billy & Lillie, she performed on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand, Patty Page’s The Big Record and The Joe Franklin Show. Lillie went on to touring with legends such as The Diamonds, The Chantels, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Chuck Berry, Frankie Lymon, the Big Bopper, Sam Cook, and numerous others.
As a member of Alan Freed’s famous Rock n' Roll shows, she traveled the country and performed to sold out arenas and concert venues such as the Apollo Theater NYC and the Chicago Opera House. ...

Lillie developed and was credited for an innovative new music genre known as “Chalypso”, derived from a West Coast dance craze.
Howard’s musical journey has brought her to focus, over the years, on jazz and blues. Although she still performs the old Billy & Lillie hits, including a jazz variation of the new, critically acclaimed solo recording of "La Dee Dah."
Lillie was featured with legendary NEA Jazz Master, vocalist Sheila Jordan, in the off-Broadway production of "The Beatnik Café: Musical Revue of the Jazz Beat Generation", and has been touring regionally, from NYC and throughout the Northeast, with a moving tribute to the music of Dinah Washington.
