About

Armen Donelian is a pianist of Armenian origins with an artistic breadth that incorporates American, European and Armenian compositional, improvisational and folk idioms. His music is a fusion of Classical and Jazz with strong Middle Eastern undertones and is characterized by clean articulation, a virtuosic harmonic vocabulary and a boundless source of creative ideas.

Joining Donelian in this unique concert at Alwan will be Berklee College of Music Professor David Clark, on bass and New York City-based drummer and record producer George Schuller, on drums. The Trio have been playing together for the past 10 years and have an impressive repertoire that includes the recordings Oasis 2005 and Sayat-Nova: Songs Of My Ancestors 2014.
