Guitarist John Hart with Steve Wilson, alto sax, and Richard Sussman, piano
A distinctive modern mainstream guitarist (and Rockland County resident), John Hart has impressed many with his fine recordings as a leader for Blue Note and Concord, and his imaginative and lyrical playing. Among his most significant associations have been with Termasa Hino, Larry Goldings, and particularly Jack McDuff with whom he toured and recorded. Steve Wilson has attained ubiquitous status in the studio and on the stage with the greatest names in jazz, as well as critical acclaim as a bandleader in his own right. A musician's musician, Wilson has brought his distinctive sound to more than 100 recordings led by such celebrated and wide-ranging artists as Chick Corea, George Duke, Michael Brecker, Dave Holland, and Maria Schneider. John and Steve will be joined for this concert by renowned jazz pianist and composer Richard Sussman....
