Soprano saxophonist Sam Newsome will play a half-hour solo set featuring new renditions of famous pieces by John Coltrane and Duke Ellington, plus material from an original suite. Then, Newsome will join pianist Ethan Iverson for a full, rare duo set of original compositions by both musicians, as well as in-the-moment improvisations.
