"Alon Nechushtan's trio displays compelling chemistry in abundance" says All About Jazz. Alon received his Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory, studying piano, big band and jazz composition, in addition to study with the School for Improvisation in New York. As an active band leader Alon founded quintet TALAT in 2002. The ensemble is dedicated to his original works and recorded a CD on John Zorn's Tzadik Records mixed by the great Bill Laswell.
