Non-profit Music Organization. Supports new music, new artists, jazz, women in jazz. We are an organization that supports better pay for jazz artists in clubs. CMP is working with Smalls jazz club NYC to raise money for musicians performances. Please visit our web site for more information!Also, looking for other clubs who have donors for this activity. Jazz at Lincoln Center is just a beginning as far as I know; it is the only full time supported jazz presentation opportunity in our country.
I have written our political leaders and many foundations for help, but just receive a lot of polite letters. When is this going to stop is my question?
We also support diversity in jazz not the same old same old routine that we get in the jazz community. Let us expand the vision in jazz in the business community and with the music with new forms of compositions both in Latin Jazz and Instrumental Jazz.
Music is being played and listened to 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Let some of that money be given to the living musician. We support creative music I hope you do too.
